"Man finds it hard to get what he wants, because he does not want the best. God finds it hard to give, because He would give the best and man will not take it."
Born and raised a country girl in a small town in Southern Oregon, I am the 5th of 7 children. I have a fraternal twin brother who was born just 3 minutes before me(he instead is the “middle child”). On our birthday I like to remind him that I am two hours and fifty-seven minutes older than his is, as he lives on the West Coast, and I live on the East Coast, a three hour time difference. My dad is a cowboy from Oklahoma and my mom is from Northern California.
My name means “anointed” and my middle name means “oath of God”.
I am a direct descendant of William and Susanna White (through Peregrine White’s line) who came to America aboard the Mayflower. I am primarily English and Cherokee Indian, with a bit of Irish.
I am married to a man who loves God and together we have a beloved son, who I consider to be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.
Reader, Welcome to My Little Corner of the World...
Please pull up a chair and cozy up for awhile. Hopefully this blog will fulfill my ultimate aim. May it edify and encourage those who visit. May it lift the hearts of the weary and give hope to the discouraged. May it help elevate the thoughts of others to new heights and turn the eyes of the seeker to God. This is my desire in expressing my thoughts into words, that what God has wrought in my heart may be a means of drawing others nigh unto Him.
God is light and in Him is no darkess at all.
God is good, always.
God is love and His mercy is everlasting.
God is faithful. He keeps His Word. He does not lie.
He will comfort you in tribulation; He will never forsake you.
He will withhold no good thing to those who walk uprightly.
God is able (and willing) to super-exceed all that you can ask or think!
Recommendations - a Suggested "To Do" List from Locals
1. Take a country drive: off I-287, Exit 3, head north up the Taconic to Jefferson Valley, NY (wooded, rural area) 2. Eat at La Manda's Restaurant (Italian, casual dress, CASH ONLY, $8-10 entrees, lunch & dinner) 251 Tarrytown Rd, WP, NY; call ahead for groups 914 684-9228 3. Visit Chautaqua, NY (actually not a locals suggestion, but something that Walter heard of that peaked our interest); this was where the founding concept of adult learning centers of education started. There are "chautaquas" around the US now as a result. Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chautauqua
