I suppose I coule have added the great crooners like Bing Crosby, and of course THE KING, Mr. Elvis Presley...

Ooh, most definitely Bing Crosby! There has never been such a silky voice as his. I melt when watching White Christmas.

My personal favorite is Robert Plant, but I can think of several others that would at least have to be on a list of "near favorites."

Definately Bing and The King. Don't forget the other "king," Nat "King" Cole.

Stevie Wonder, Bob Seger, Steven Tyler and Paul Rodgers round out a short list of pop/rock vocalists.

Andrea Bocelli and John McCormack (classical Irish Tenor) for classical and operas.

Louis Armstrong ("What A Wonderful World"), Mel Torme, Tony Bennett and Al Jarreau in the jazz genre.

Don't forget Ricky Skaggs and Paul Overstreet. And Kathy I can't believe you didn't mention YOUR MAN. Josh Turner is it? LOL

Personally I also happen to love to listen to blended voices, ie. The Statler Brothers, The Oakridge Boys...

And why isn't John Denver and James Taylor on the list?

Oh, don't get me wrong...I absolutely melt at Josh Turner's voice, but the greatest male vocalist of all time? That's a pretty big title to live up to and Bing's got that one wrapped up for me.
